Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate Under the No Surprises Act
Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act gives you important protections against surprise medical bills. Under this law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don't have insurance — or who are not using insurance — an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
What You Need to Know
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your therapy or coaching services will cost. This estimate is based on the services reasonably expected at the time of scheduling.
