A cash-pay practice — with heart.
Hart to Human is primarily a cash-pay practice, which means we don't bill insurance directly for most sessions. This allows for more privacy, flexibility, and no limits on the number of sessions or types of issues we can address.
Accessibility matters. Healing shouldn't depend on income. I reserve 8–10 insurance-based slots in my caseload because I wouldn't have had access to these resources growing up without them. These slots are limited and maintained through a waitlist — when a current client completes their work, a spot opens up. If you'd like to be added to the waitlist, let me know during your consultation.
Out-of-Network Reimbursement
We also provide superbills — detailed receipts you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients recover 50–80% of session costs this way.
To check your out-of-network benefits, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- What is my out-of-network deductible?
- What percentage of the session fee do you reimburse?
- Is there a limit on sessions per year?
